Do I need to come to campus in order to take a flexible learning course?
Students are not required to come to campus in order to participate in an online or distance (correspondence) course, however students registered in blended delivery courses will need to attend scheduled sessions in a location near them.  Students taking courses with final examinations will need to write an in person final examination scheduled within 100km of their current address.
How do I apply to take a course through the CFTL?
All individuals must be students of Nipissing University to take a course offered through the CFTL.  As admission to Nipissing University is dependent on the program or course that the student intends to pursue individuals are encouraged to contact Admissions at admiss@nipissingu.ca.
How much do courses offered through the CFTL cost?
Information regarding current CFTL course fees will be made available shortly on our website.  Please keep in mind that students are required to purchase their own textbooks and therefore these costs will not be included on our website.
How do I register in a course offered through the CFTL?
All students must register online through WebAdvisor (accessible through MyNipissing). A list of available courses can be found on our courses page.
How do I obtain course materials for my flexible learning course?
Online course materials such as lesson notes and assignments are made available  through Blackboard Learn. Information regarding how to access Blackboard Learn will be emailed to you after you register.  
Paper based course materials such as textbooks may be pruchased through the Education Centre Bookstore or through an independent retailer. A list of appropriate course materials can be found on our course materials page. ​

Are there specific technical requirements to use Blackboard Learn?
To ensure you are able to use Blackboard Learn appropriately, please check that your operating system and browser is supported.  Note that both Internet Explorer 8 and 9 must be configured for use with Blackboard Learn.  If you have already installed Java on your computer please do so as it is required.​

Are there any important dates that I need to be aware of?

How do I access MyNipissing?
Information regarding how to login to MyNipissing will be sent to you once you apply to the univeristy. Should you fail to receive this infomration please contact Admissions.
How do I apply to graduate?
Once you have registered in your last course you may apply to graduate online through WebAdvisor (accessible through MyNipissing).
