Modalities:
Web Conference (Elluminate) - Participants will interact with presenters and other participants online, primarily through text via a keyboard, or speech through a headset. Individuals may attend from their place of work, home, or other area where a computer is available.
All participants must make sure the computer they intend to use has headphones plugged into the computer in order to participate. For individuals who would may like to ask questions through speech rather than text, please ensure your headphones have a microphone. Face-to-Face (Classroom Setting) - Participants will interact with presenters and other participants within a standard classroom. In this setting, computers are not available and generally a maximum of 30 individuals can be accommodated comfortably.
Face-to-Face (Computer Setting) - Participants will interact with presenters and other participants within a laboratory classroom. In this setting, there is one computer per participant and generally a maximum of 30 individuals can be accommodated comfortably.
Print-Based Resources - Participants will be provided with paper handouts, which they can refer to throughout, and take away with them after, the session.
Internet-Based Resources - Participants will be provided with electronic copies via the Internet, which they can refer to throughout the session, and / or save to their personal computers for reference later on.
Registration:
Required - Participants are asked to RSVP to cftl@nipissingu.ca in order to ensure appropriate resources and/or refreshments are available.
Not Required - Participants are not required to register in order to attend these sessions.
Limited Seats Available - Participants should be aware that limited spaces (less than 50) are available. Individuals wishing to attend are encouraged to arrive early to ensure they have a place to sit.
Significant Seats Available - Participants should be aware that the session is offered either online or in a lecture based classroom. Individuals wishing to attend are encouraged to arrive early to ensure any necessary equipment is functioning appropriately.
