Below are instructions for Teacher Candidates completing the required PVSC process through regions with additional requirements (boards listed alphabetically).
is the TVDSB’s expectation that Faculties of Education placing student teachers
in practicum placements within the Thames Valley District School Board ensure
their students have a certified true copy of a Police Record Check
(Vulnerable Sector Screening) that was issued within six months of the day
the document is collected by the principal of the hosting school. Prior to
commencing the practicum placement duties, the Practice Teacher must
provide the Principal with an original of the above mentioned document.
Teacher Candidates assigned to the Toronto Catholic D.S.B. are required to submit their original Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) in person to the TCDSB Head Office (80 Sheppard Avenue East, 4th Floor) PRIOR TO THE BEGINNING OF PLACEMENT.
Candidates who do not submit their original PVSC to the board office prior to placement will not be allowed to attend placement. If you have questions relating to this process, please contact Alexia Ferreira and the TCDSB Head Office at 416-222-8282 ext. 2303 or email@example.com.
