This award will be presented annually or biannually during Homecoming weekend to recognize outstanding achievements, present stature, and/or future potential for alumni of Nipissing University.  

The Award will consist of:

  1. A framed certificate
  2. A picture in the Review magazine and press release to local newspaper
  3. A scholarship in the recipients name, awarded at the January award ceremony
  4. Award winner's name to be displayed on the Alumni Awards board in our new academic wing (H wing).
Eligibility and Selection Criteria:
The recipient will be a general alumni member, with a minimum of four full time courses (from Normal School, Teachers' College, Nipissing University College, or Nipissing University) whose reputation, achievements and/or future potential bring honour and prestige to Nipissing University and the alumni constituency.
 
Nominations:
Nomination (application) forms must be signed by the nominator and include:
  1. The name of the nominee
  2. Identification of the field of endeavour for which the nominee is being chosen
  3. A 200 word summary from the nominator explaining how the nominee meets the criteria for this award
  4. Three (3) testimonial letters
Supporting Documentation may include:
  1. Notable achievements in other fields of endeavor
  2. Degrees and honours previously bestowed by Nipissing University (or other institutions)
Other information deemed helpful to the selection committee (Such additional information should be presented in a concise form and be suitable for duplication so the entire submission can be distributed to members of the selection committee.)

Unsuccessful nominations will be kept on file and be eligible for future consideration. The Alumni Relations & Development Office will place announcements for nominations in the Review magazine and nominations will be accepted at the Alumni Relations Office at any time of the year. Nominations and award winners will be notified of the decision by the Alumni Relations Office.
