Interested in participating on the Nipissing University Alumni Advisory Board?

The Alumni Advisory Board meets four times per year; as well as, for a Fall planning retreat. Terms are for two years and may be renewed twice for a maximum of six years. Successful candidates will join the full board for meetings and actively sit on one sub-committee either Events or Recruitment, which only meets on an adhoc basis.

Candidates outside the North Bay geographic area are also eligible to claim a reasonable amount of travel expenses as per the Long-Distance Travel policy of the Advisory Board.

OBJECTIVES

The objectives of the Board are:

1. to represent the interests of Alumni
2. to contribute in as many ways as possible to the welfare, prestige and excellence of Nipissing University;
3. to promote interest, in co-operation with and support of the University;
4. to encourage and promote a spirit of collegiality and unity among alumni
5. provide a means for continuing the relationships alumni enjoyed as students;
6. to encourage, support, and gratefully acknowledge contributions, financial and otherwise, from alumni to the University; and,
7. to serve as a communications vehicle to the alumni community on the work and plans of Nipissing University and its impact on the alumni community.
