North Bay Campus, Muskoka Campus and Distance Education

The following dates are applicable to students studying at the North Bay Campus, Muskoka Campus and by Distance Education.

FW* September 9, 2013 – April 4, 2014 SP01X May 5, 2014 - June 13, 2014
WI* January 6, 2014 – April 4, 2014 SP02X May 5, 2014 - June 13, 2014
​SS ​May 5, 2014 - August 1, 2014
​SU ​June 23, 2014 - August 1, 2014

* Exception: Concurrent Education Program continues until mid-May.

AUGUST 2013
Mon. 5 Civic Holiday – University closed
Mon. 26 Consecutive Bachelor of Education classes begin
SEPTEMBER
Mon. 2 Labour Day – University closed
Mon. 9 FA and FW courses begin
Fri. 20 Last day to register for FA or FW courses
Students withdrawing from FA or FW courses after this date but before the respective withdrawal dates will receive a WDR on their academic record.
OCTOBER
Mon. 14 Thanksgiving Day – University closed
Study Week for students enrolled in FA or FW courses, ends Oct. 18
NOVEMBER
Fri. 8 Last day to withdraw from FA courses
DECEMBER
Fri. 6 Last day of FA and FW courses
Mon. 9 Final exam period for FA courses, ends Dec. 21
JANUARY 2014
Mon. 6 Classes begin
Fri. 17 Last day to register for WI courses
Students withdrawing from WI courses after this date but before the respective withdrawal date will receive a WDR on their academic record.
FEBRUARY
Fri. 7 Last day for withdrawing from FW courses
Mon. 17 Family Day - University closed
Study Week for students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate courses, ends Feb. 21
Mon. 24 SP00X, SP01X, SP02X/SS/SU Registration-opening
MARCH
Fri. 7 Last date to withdraw from WI courses
Mon. 10 Study Week for Consecutive Bachelor of Education students, ends Mar. 14
APRIL
Mon. 1 Application deadline for 2014 Spring Convocation
Fri. 4 Last day of WI and FW courses
Mon. 7 Final exam period for WI and FW courses, ends May 2
Fri. 18 Good Friday - University closed
Mon. 21 Easter Monday – University closed
Mon. 28 Consecutive Bachelor of Education final exam period, ends May 2
MAY
Mon. 5 SP00X, SP01X, SP02X and SS courses begin
​Thu. 8 ​Last day to register for SP00X and SP01X courses
Fri. 10 Concurrent Education Practica will end on or before this date
​Thu. 15 ​Last day to withdraw from SP01X courses
​Fri. 16 Last day to register for SS courses
Mon. 19 Victoria Day – University closed. Any courses scheduled on this date will take place on May 23.
Tue. 20 FW registration-opening for students who have completed at least 78 credits
Fri. 23 Make-up classes for the May 19th holiday
FW registration-opening for students who have completed at least 48 credits
Mon. 26 FW registration-opening for all other continuing students

JUNE
​Wed. 4 ​Last day to withdraw from SP00X and SP02X courses
Wed. 11 Convocation

Fri. 13 Convocation
Last day of SP00X, SP01X, SP02X courses
Mon. 23 SU courses begin
​Thu. 26 ​Last day to register for SU courses
JULY
Tue. 1 Canada Day – University closed. Any courses scheduled on this date will take place on July 4.
Fri. 4 Make-up classes for the July 1st holiday
​Fri. 11 ​Last day to withdraw from SS courses
Wed. 23 ​Last day to withdraw from SU courses
AUGUST
Fri. 1 Last day of SU and SS coursesFinal exam period for SU courses, ends August 7
Final exam period for SS courses, ends August 14
Mon. 4 Civic holiday – University closed
