Biidaaban Youth Group

The Biidaaban Youth Group (BYG) program offers academic support to Aboriginal youth in local elementary schools and not-for-profit organizations.

Under the guidance of a Student Facilitator, university students are on site to work with children and youth for one day per week, spread throughout the academic year.

Biidaaban Youth Groups offer FREE homework assistance, recreational activities, art activities and a snack to participants.

Biidaaban Youth Groups are offered at the following locations:

  • Homework Assistance Club for Kids, Garden Village, NFN
  • North Bay Indian Friendship Centre
  • Silver Birches, Public School
  • Sunset Park, Public School
  • Children's Aid Society
  • Black Water Youth Art Collective, White Water Gallery

Groups run during the following weeks:

Week 2: Oct 10 - Oct 14

Week 3: Oct 17 - Oct 21

Week 4: Nov 7 - Nov 11

Week 5: Nov 14 - Nov 18

Week 6: Nov 21 - Nov 25

Week 7: Nov 28 - Dec 2
