Nipissing University Student Volunteer Information

As a volunteer, you are asked to:

  volunteer 1-2 hours per week

  attend 3 debrief sessions

  complete Faculty reflections

  respond to a program survey

  have fun!


1. Sign up and attend our BCSL orientation by emailing, or dropping by the Office of Aboriginal Initiatives (F215-D)!

2. Complete necessary paperwork:

  Provide a valid Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check (see: North Bay Police Service )

  WSIB Information

  Online Workplace Health and Safety Training


3. Attend the Training Weekend on October 1st and 2nd, which focuses on cultural safety and many different areas of professional development (see schedule below).
