How to rack up some site visit statistics...
...even when no one particularly cares what you have to say.
- Put a really nifty picture of Saladin on your site.
- Put a really nifty picture of a wolf pack on your site.
- Have your blog on a Google-owned platform so that Google searches privilege your site above, for instance, the sites that originally provided the picture of Saladin and the picture of the wolf pack.
- Sit back and let the hits accumulate, even when you've said nothing for a while.

Another good way: put up a dray, academic encyclopedia essay entitled "animals, erotic symbolism of." Watch the Google hits spike ... and the disappointed readers come and go!
