This is Nipissing University’s Cultural Events Site, the online place to find out about what’s happening (and entertaining) in the arts (and sciences) around the North Bay area: lectures, concerts, gallery openings, poetry readings, conferences, etc. It is brought to you courtesy of Nipissing University’s Cultural Affairs Committee.

STAY INFORMED -- INFORM OTHERS --EMAIL MAILING LIST

For years now, on behalf of  The Cultural Events Committee, yours truly has maintained an emailing list of people who have explicitly asked to be informed of upcoming special events in the North Bay Area.. (No spamming here; just information sent to those who asked for it.)  We found this a great way to get cultural events information to the people that care, without annoying others with irrelevant email.  The service was free, offered as a public service.

I'm passing the ball to The North Bay Area Arts Council email service.  It's been a slice doing this (and feeling I was doing something useful in spreading the word about cultural events in our community), but the Culture Vultures mailings are no longer necessary given the incredible job the NBAAC is doing to promote the arts  and inform the interested.

So now, instead of the sometimes erratic Culture Vulture mailings, current subscribers will receive comprehensive weekly newsletters from the NBAAC about cultural events in our area.  As before, anyone receiving these mailings can get off the list by simply letting the mailer know!   This is not spam.  No one is trying to sell you anything.  Your email addresses are kept confidential.  This is just a mailing list for those who want regular notices about what is happening in the arts in our community.

So if you're not on the list for the weekly emailing about cultural and artistic events and want to be -- or if you want to put an announcement of a cultural event in the weekly emailing, simply contact Laura at at...
