Earn a BA (Honours) in Contemporary Studies from Laurier and a BEd from Nipissing as well as practice teach in the Public or Catholic schools near Brantford.
The Bachelor of Arts (Liberal) will give students maximum flexibility in designing their own degree programs. The program is designed to provide students with a Liberal Arts education which emphasizes breadth rather than specialization.Students must complete at least 48 credits in courses chosen from at least three disciplines in Group I (Humanities) and Group II (Social Sciences), with at least six credits in each group. Students must complete a minimum of 18 credits in each of two disciplines chosen from any of the four groups, with at least one of the two disciplines chosen from Group I or Group II. These 18 credits may include courses cross-listed for credit in that discipline (if they have not been used elsewhere to complete program requirements), with at least six credits at the first year level and six credits at the upper year level.
