Earn a BA (Honours) in Contemporary Studies from Laurier and a BEd from Nipissing as well as practice teach in the Public or Catholic schools near Brantford.
All second degree programs are normally specified by Academic Services in consultation with the discipline concerned, and must be approved by the Registrar and the Dean of Arts and Science. Students who have not met all academic regulations of the University in their first degree program must complete them in their second degree program. Students may receive credit for courses already completed if these courses were not used to satisfy any of the requirements for the first degree program.
Students possessing an undergraduate degree may proceed to a second undergraduate degree program in another area of study. Students may be admitted to a second degree program if they hold a recognized university degree with a minimum overall average of “C” or better, and have not failed more than 30 credits in the first degree program.
To graduate with a second degree in the Bachelor of Arts (3-Year General or Liberal) program, or the Bachelor of Science (3-Year General or Liberal) program, Bachelor of Commerce (3-Year General), students must:

To graduate with a second degree in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing, students must:a) complete a minimum of 60 credits in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minimum overall average of 60%, after no more than two attempts in any one course;b) successfully complete all NURS courses with a minimum grade of 60%; and all clinical practicum courses with a “Satisfactory” grade;c) complete the program within seven (7) years of the original date of admission;d) complete a minimum of 48 credits in the area of the major of the second degree;e) complete all core course(s) not completed in the first degree; f) maintain all minimum grade requirements and all minimum average requirements specified in the general regulations for the specified degree.
