FA SECTION

Monday, September 5 : Labour Day - University closed
Monday, September 12 : Master of Education courses begin
Monday, September 12 : Fall term and fall/winter sessions begin
Monday, September 12 : Academic Orientation - first year students only
Sunday, September 18 : Last day to drop 12-week (FA) and full-year (FW) courses, but remain registered with no tuition charge
Sunday, September 25 : Last day to drop/withdraw from 12-week (FA) and full-year (FW) courses at 10% tuition charge
Sunday, September 25 : Last day to add 12-week (FA) and full-year (FW) courses
Monday, October 10 : Thanksgiving Day - University closed
Monday, October 17 : Faculty Advisor Meeting for second and third year students
Monday, October 24 : Practicum begins for second and third year students
Monday, November 7 : Last day to drop courses or withdraw from 12-week courses (FA) without failure and for possible tuition adjustment (tuition charge assessed at 55% of course rate)
Tuesday, November 8 : From this day until the end of classes in the FA term, students who drop or withdraw from a 12-week fall term course will receive academic penalty (failure) and are responsible for 100% tuition
Monday, November 28 : Last day of Practicum
Monday, December 5 : Last day of classes (make-up Monday class for Thanksgiving)
Tuesday, December 6 & 7 : Fall Study Period
Thursday, December 8 -
Wednesday, December 21		 : FA term examination period
Wednesday, December 21 : Fall term ends

Tuesday, January 3 : Winter Term classes begin

Friday, February 10		 : Six weeks of classes for fifth year Teacher Candidates
Thursday, January 5 : Last day to drop 6-week (fifth year) courses which began January 3, but remain registered with no tuition charge
Monday, January 9 : Faculty Advisor Meeting for first, second, and third year students
Monday, January 9 : Last day to drop 6-week (fifth year) courses which began January 3 at 10% tuition charge (assessed at 10% of the course rate)
Monday, January 9 : Last day to drop 12-week (WI) courses but remain registered with no tuition charge
Monday, January 16 : First day of Practicum in term two for first, second, and third year students
Monday, January 16 : Last day to drop or withdraw from (WI) courses at 10% tuition charge (tuition charge assessed at 10% of course rate)
Monday, January 16 : Last day to add winter term courses
Monday, January 30 : Last day to drop 6-week (fifth year) courses which began January 3 without failure and for possible tuition adjustment (tuition charge assessed at 55% of course rate)
Tuesday, January 31 : From this day until the end of the six-week classes in the WI term, students who drop or withdraw from a 6-week winter term course will receive academic penalty (failure) and are responsible for 100% tuition
Monday, February 20 -
Friday, February 24		 : Reading Week for first, second, third, and fourth year students
Monday, February 13 -
Friday, March 9		 : Block 1 Pracitcum (4 weeks) for fifth year Teacher Candidates
Monday, March 5 : Last day to drop or withdraw from courses from 12-week (WI) and full-year (FW) courses without failure and for possible tuition adjustment (tuition charge assessed at 55% course rate)
Tuesday, March 6 : From this day until the end of classes in the WI term, students who drop or withdraw from a 12-week (WI) or full-year (FW) course will receive academic penalty (failure) and are responsible for 100% tuition
Monday, March 19 -
Friday, April 13		 : Block 2 Practicum (4 weeks) for fifth year Teacher Candidates
Monday, April 2 : Monday Practicum ends for students in first, second, and third year students FW and WI Term classes end
Tuesday, April 3 & 4 : Study Period
Thursday, April 5 -
Thursday, April 26		 : WI and FW examination period
Friday, April 6 : Good Friday - University closed
Monday, April 9 : Easter Monday - Nipissing University closed
Monday, April 23 -
Friday, April 27		 : Final Practicum Week
Tuesday, June 19 & 20 : Spring Convocation, Brantford Campus
