Faculty Advising Employment Opportunities
There may be a need for new faculty advisors. The role of the faculty advisor is to guide and evaluate concurrent education teacher candidates in the practicum placements. The role is ongoing throughout the school year, beginning in October and continuing until the end of April. Each faculty advisor usually is given a group of about 18-20 teacher candidates and receives remuneration of approximately $145.00 per candidate who is evaluated. Responsibilities mainly include 2 faculty advisor meetings on campus and a minimum of one visit to each teacher candidate. Expenses incurred are reimbursed, according to university policy. Applicants should submit a completed CV on the template provided by August 15, 2009. Successful applicants will be notified by September 30, 2009 when all placements are completed.
