Inclement Weather Policy - Practicum Days
All students are reminded to check with their associate teacher(s) regarding the inclement weather (snow day) policy for their particular school board placement. Students should follow the same attendance policy as their associate teacher is expected to follow for school placements. Students must also inform their Faculty Advisor and the Practicum Office (519-752-1524, ext.7503) of any cancellations.

Campus Closures
The Brantford campuses of Laurier University and Nipissing University will close automatically if the Grand Erie District School Board closes its schools for the day. When the universities are thus closed, the closing is for both the day and night and the universities will reopen at 7 a.m. the next day.

The Nipissing office will communicate the university's decision based on established protocol. The decision to close the campus will be made by 7 a.m. Radio stations that can be expected to carry announcements of a campus closure include: To hear radio closures, listen to CKPC AM 1380, 92.1FM or www.ckpc.com "*Cancellations and Closings"* A campus closing notice will be posted on the Laurier Brantford homepage and the Nipissing Brantford homepage and there will be an automated message on the main telephone number of both Laurier Brantford (519-756-8228) and Nipissing Brantford (519-752-1524) by 7 a.m. Closing the university means that day and evening classes will be cancelled, as well as all meetings and other scheduled events will not be held.

Closing Outside Normal Business Hours
Any closing that involves the cancellation of evening classes will be determined during the working day in accordance with the procedure described above.
