Marc LaRochelle has been the head coach of the Lady Lakers women's volleyball program since the 2005-2006 season.

During the past four seasons Marc, Tyler and Ben have guided the Lady Lakers to an impressive 54-8 regular season record. The Lady Lakers have reached the OCAA championship finals for the past four seasons which is a first in Nipissing's history. The Lakers earned silver in 2005-2006, gold in 2006-2007 and silver in 2007-2008, and 2008-2009.

Marc played for five years at Ecole Secondaire Jeunesse Nord as a starting middle and setter winning a NSSSA title and placing second at NOSSA in his rookie year. Marc was named team captain and athlete of the year in his senior year in 1988.

Marc began his coaching career with the Jeunesse Nord Sr. Girls team capturing two consecutive NSSSA championships. Marc returned to the volleyball scene as head coach of the Canadore College women's program from 2000-2003. In his final year as the Panthers head coach, the team completed a very successful OCAA season finishing fourth with a 10-6 record in the very competitive West division.

Marc is NCCP level 2 certified.

Tyler has been assistant coach of the Lady Lakers women's volleyball program since the 2005-2006 season.

Tyler was head coach of the Canadore Panthers from 2003-2005 and was assistant coach during the 2002-2003 season.

Tyler played left side for the St. Joseph Scollard Hall Bears which won a NOSSA championship in his junior year. He was captain of his senior team and was named to the all catholic all star team. Tyler finished his playing career at Canadore College. He was the teams co-captain and starting power.

His playing experience, knowledge and passion for the game are a welcomed addition to the Laker program.

Ben Hong has been assistant coach of the Lady Lakers volleyball program since the 2005-2006 season.

Ben played four years at West Ferris Secondary School in North Bay as the starting right side.

Ben graduated from Canadore College with a 3 year Business Administration Diploma.

Ben was an assistant coach with the Canadore College Panthers women 's volleyball program from 2003-2005.

Ben's commitment and dedication to the sport of volleyball are a great asset to Nipissing University and the Lady Lakers volleyball program.
