women's soccer recruitment

Thank you for your interest!

At Nipissing Unviersity, we are continuously on the outlook for quality players who can make an impact on our program both on and off the field. When you submit your recuritment form, it allows us the opportunity to assess the skills and character traits that you possess. Upon submitting your recruitment form, the coaching staff will contact you to discuss your interest and intent on becoming a Laker.

We would like to officially welcome you to the Women's Soccer program. When you combine Nipissing's prestigious academics, new state-of -the-art facilities, a great all-around athletic program that produces respected athletes, and an incredible social life, there is no university that can match the "total package" that Nipissing University offers.

The 2003 soccer season marks the 4th year women's soccer has been a varsity sport at Nipissing University. We have recently completed year 1 of a three-year plan that will see us seriously compete for an OUA championship in 2005. Our goal is to provide players the opportunity to play with a recognized powerhouse of women soccer for years to come. In our short history, we already had 4 OUA and 1 All-Canadian individual All-Star honors.

Equally important to this plan is to recruit solid skilled, team-oriented players, who know what it takes to win at the varsity level. After a record setting year in 2003, we continue to look to gain more experienced, more determined and more committed players to contend for the OUA championship. The advantage to first year players, is that they can be a starter and make an immediate impact on the program.

Please take the time to review both the Women's soccer and the Nipissing Univeristy websites. We are confident that you will learn how Nipissing University can offer you a quality education supported by a reputable athletics program. You are encouraged to take advantage of our "open door" policy! If you would like more information and are considering Nipissing as one of your university options or should have any questions regarding soccer, admission requirements, residence, employment etc, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Good luck in all of your future soccer and university endeavors. We hope you find an institution and program that you can feel proud to be part of.
