To graduate with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree students must: |

a) |
satisfy all stated requirements for the degree; |
|
b) |
complete 120 credits in with an overall average of 65% (only courses taken at Nipissing University are to be included in the average); |
|
c) |
successfully complete all required courses in no more than two attempts and successfully complete the first year introductory level course(s) for the major(s), after no more than two attempts, and where specified, with a minimum grade of 60%; |
|
d) |
complete six credits in the Group I (Humanities) and six credits in the Group II (Social Sciences). Exceptions include: |
|
i) |
Environmental Biology and Technology major where students may complete six credits in Humanities and/or Social Sciences; |
|
ii) |
Environmental Science and Physical Geography major where students must complete six credits in Group I (Humanities) and six credits in Business or Group II (Social Science), excluding Physical Geography; and |
|
e) |
not exceed a maximum of 48 credits at the first year level; |
|
f) |
not exceed a maximum of 84 credits in a single discipline (with the exception of Environmental Biology and Technology, Environmental Science and Physical Geography); |
|
g) |
satisfy the Writing Competency Requirement. |
