To graduate with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree, students must: |

a) |
satisfy all the stated requirements for the degree; |
b) |
complete 120 credits with a minimum overall average of 65% (only courses taken at Nipissing University are to be included in the average). Please note that the Criminology Stream in the Criminal Justice major requires a minimum overall average of 70%; |
c) |
successfully complete the first year introductory level course(s) for the major(s), after no more than two attempts, and where specified, with a minimum grade of 60%; |
d) |
complete after no more than two attempts, with at least the minimum grade stated in the Program Requirements section, each additional required major course having a specified minimum grade; |
e) |
in the case of a single major, complete at least 60 credits in the major (according to details provided in the Program Requirements section); |
f) |
in the case of a combined major, complete at least 42 credits in each of two majors (according to details provided in the Program Requirements section); |
g) |
not exceed a maximum of 42 credits at the first year level (except in the Child and Family Studies major where the maximum is 48 credits at the first year level); |
h) |
not exceed a maximum of 84 credits in a single discipline; |
i) |
complete at least six credits in each of Groups I (Humanities), II (Social Sciences) and III (Sciences); |
j) |
satisfy the Writing Competency requirement. |
