Our values include a responsibility to each student we advise and to the faculty, an involvement of other university resources in the advising process, and a responsibility to the university and to higher education. | |||
| Our goals include assisting you in making an informed and responsible decisions regarding your academic programs, seeing the value in learning, setting priorities and making realistic plans. We do so by providing accurate information about the university, its programs, policies, procedures and resources. | |||
If you have questions during the year, please make an appointment to see an Academic Advisor. Drop-in hours are also available weekly while Residence Advising, Aboriginal Services Outreach Advising and Muskoka Advising are available throughout the year (please contact our office for more information). |

| To ensure that you get the most from your academic advising appointment you should prepare by reviewing the sections of the academic calendar that pertain to your degree and program (your major and/or minor) requirements and then make a list of any questions and/or concerns that you want to discuss with an advisor. Always bring a copy of the academic calendar with you for every academic advising appointment or drop-in. | |||
