Earn a BA (Honours) in Contemporary Studies from Laurier and a BEd from Nipissing as well as practice teach in the Public or Catholic schools near Brantford.
A student from any undergraduate discipline, who has worked on a scholarly project in which s/he has taken a leadership role in its development and execution, are eligible to participate in the conference. Proposals can be disciplinary specific or multi/interdisciplinary.
Students are invited to present an original research poster, oral presentation of a research paper or a panel presentation of a series of related papers.
This conference is an excellent opportunity for undergraduate students to showcase their work in a professional setting before their peers, faculty, and the public.

Categories of Presentations:
a) Paper
Students choosing to make a presentation of a research paper may do so on an individual basis. Paper submissions should be original undergraduate student research such as those listed above. Students should be prepared to make a dynamic ten (10) minute presentation. After each presentation the audience will be afforded five (5) minutes to pose questions to the researcher.
b) Poster
Students choosing to make a research poster presentation may do so, on an individual basis. Poster Submissions should be original undergraduate student research such as those listed above. Students should be prepared to share their research with Conference guests in a ‘poster presentation setting’, and should also be prepared to field questions with regard to their research.
c) Panel
A panel presentation involves a showcase of related research of several individuals. The relationship of the research topic(s) can be disciplinary specific or inter or multi-disciplinary. A panel group can be submitted by faculty member with the agreement of the participants or by a group of students. It is recommended that groups be mentored by a faculty member in preparation for a panel presentation. Panels will be expected to make a 20 minute collective presentation, which will be followed by 10 minutes of open questions from the audience.
Nipissing students should contact their department to submit research. Submissions from outside Nipissing can use our submission form.
