Researchers intending to conduct research with Aboriginal peoples/communities/institutions you must first contact the Office of Aboriginal Initiatives prior to submitting a protocol to the Animal Care Committee.
When submitting a protocol for research with Aboriginal peoples/communities/institutions, please do not forget to include proof of Aboriginal community/institutional authorization and an Intellectual Property Agreement. Animal Care Committee will only consider protocols for research with Aboriginal peoples/communities/institutions that include these items.
Any Request for Modification to an ACC-approved protocol involving research with Aboriginal peoples/communities/institutions may require prior notification of the Office of Aboriginal Initiatives and additional Aboriginal community/institutional authorization.
