Joseph-Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship (CGS D) and SSHRC Doctoral Fellowships

The Social Science & Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) offers two streams of awards through one application.

The Joseph-Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship - Doctoral (CGS D) and SSHRC Doctoral Fellowships programs seek to develop research skills and assist in the training of highly-qualified personnel (HQP) in the social sciences and humanities.


Value: 

CGS D: $35,000 a year for 3 years

Fellowship: $20,000 a year for 1 to 4 years

Eligibility:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada
  • To be eligible​ to apply thought Nipissing University, an applicant must be a full-time registered student, or be on an approved LOA, during the Fall 2014 term.
  • Complete Eligibility requirements

How to Apply: Online application.  

An applicant must print the web-based application and, together with all the required documents, including transcripts and references, submit it to the School of Graduate Studies by the internal application deadline.
