Master of Science in Mathematics

Present your findings
Through presentations, seminars and conferences, you will hone you graduate research

The MSc in Mathematics provides students with a strong background in disciplines such as analysis, algebra, topology and modern applications in computational fields.  It ensures that students have the appropriate training necessary to make career choices from a wider range of options after completing the program.

Through a variety of seminars, workshops and presentations, students are introduced to the essential ingredients of doing research as well as a variety of open problems. The program consists of course work, seminars and a Major Research Paper, which is completed within a year.

The Major Research Paper focuses on an open problem in Mathematics, which could be theoretical or applied in nature. Students are asked to learn about an unsolved problem by researching its history and the contributions of other mathematicians towards solving the problem. Full-time and part-time study is available.
