Congratulations on your offer of admission to the Bachelor of Education program! Please carefully read and follow the instructions and dates outlined on this website. In Nipissing’s quest to help preserve our planet, a large amount of the information you will need is now housed on our website. Please take a moment to review this website.

We will continue to communicate with you through your “My Nipissing” account. Please check WebAdvisor – Important Documents to verify that we receive all required documentation. Please check your email account regularly as we may email you with important information or a question or concern that requires a timely response. Failure to check “My Nipissing” could affect the status of your offer of admission.

Admission Decision
All admission decisions will be released through “My Nipissing” and by mail. We will not release admission decisions over the telephone. Accept Your Offer of Admission by APRIL 15, 2011
	Indicate your response through the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) website. You will require your OUAC reference number along with your Compass Password/PIN. *Late responses will not be accepted.
	Admission Deposit of $350.00. Mail a cheque, bank draft or money order or on-line banking with the Admission Deposit
	Practice Teaching Choice Form due by deadline. Please view the practice teaching options and instructions.
	Begin Police Background Check (PBC). Please note, due to new legislation, the process to complete a PBC can take up to 120 days. You must begin the process right away to ensure that you meet the August 15th deadline. Procedures for Police Background Check
June 24, 2011
	Final Transcript is due. If you received a conditional offer of admission, you must submit a final transcript that shows your degree has been conferred and all required courses are completed. (Transcripts from Ontario universities should be ordered through OUAC. You must contact your university directly for all transcripts from outside Ontario. Nipissing students do not need to order a Nipissing transcript.) Legal proof of name change. If documents received are different than current name (unless previously provided upon application).
	Second deposit of $350.00 due. Mail a cheque, bank draft or money order or on-line banking with the Admission Deposit form.
Mid July 2011
	Registration information will be mailed.
August 15, 2011
	Police Background Check due. Failure to provide this documentation by the deadline will result in your withdrawal from the BEd program.
August 29, 2011
	Orientation Days/Classes begin. Welcome to Nipissing. Attendance is mandatory. Tuition and laptop fees due this week. Don’t forget to bring your Apple MacBook. See iTeach Laptop learning for more information.
