Welcome to the Faculty of Applied and Professional Studies (APS) at Nipissing University. We are home to four Schools: School of Business, School of Criminology and Criminal Justice, School of Human and Social Development, and the School of Nursing.
We offer you more than a degree by preparing you for professional and applied careers. We teach you how to think critically and communicate effectively. We give you the knowledge, skills and practical experience to be leaders and innovators in your chosen field of study.
Few universities have the ability to offer the type of small, intimate classes that we do at Nipissing. You will build lifelong relationships with fellow students, faculty and staff. When you graduate, you will join a vast network of Nipissing APS alumni worldwide.
It is a very exciting time to be a student in our growing faculty; which is known for innovative programs and delivery methods. Some notable programs include our Bachelor of Commerce College Partnership Program, where graduates from our partner colleges have the opportunity to work towards a Bachelor of Commerce from Nipissing University. Or, our Blended Learning Program that offers Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) the chance to study part-time towards a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) from Nipissing University.
We are also home to many learning and research opportunities outside the classroom in form of community service learning, iLEAD programming, use of iPads in the classroom, and international travel. All programs in APS offer students small interactive learning experiences and chances to learn in unique and effective ways.
We are excited about your interest in our faculty at Nipissing University, and look forward to hearing from you. Feel free to drop by our offices and get to know us if you are on campus, or stay connected by following us on Twitter @NipissingAPS.
