The purpose of these Standards for Tenure and Promotion is to set the context and define the expectations of performance for the award of tenure and promotion at Nipissing University. These standards are referred to in the Tenure and Promotion Procedures but are separate from them. The Standards provide guidelines for the Review Committees in their task of evaluating whether or not candidates for tenure and/or promotion have met the criteria established in the Tenure and Promotion Procedures.
