Important information regarding faculty negotiations at Nipissing University

Nipissing University and the Nipissing University Faculty Association (NUFA) are currently in negotiations to establish a new collective bargaining agreement for full-time faculty.

Negotiations began in Spring 2015 and are ongoing.

Recently, the two parties filed jointly for conciliation, which is expected to take place in early October.

Conciliation is a common practice in contract negotiations. It has been used effectively in the past at Nipissing University, most recently during the successful negotiations with the Contract Academic Staff Bargaining Unit.

Nipissing University is optimistic that an agreement will be reached with full-time faculty, and is committed to the negotiation process.

The university is dedicated to ensuring that the academic needs of students will be met as we work through the bargaining process with NUFA.

Nipissing University will provide updates as new information becomes available.
